For years I have followed a metaphorical compass that was supposed to show me the way to go - follow North people would say and I would. Little did I realise that my "compass" swung wildly, one day North would point to technical and mathematical, the next creative and intuitive. It is only in the past few years that I have discovered me although even then things aren't as clear cut as I would like them to be. Photography is an extension not the whole yet, for the moment, I need to treat it so - perhaps the phase will pass, or not.

I have relied on far too many people and have yet to break beyond those set shackles, so a glass has been raised and hope has been set towards my future... wherever the compass may take me.

Due to a lack of funds my camera bag consists of a Canon Powershot A560 (cracked with CHDK), a Ricoh KR-10 (50mm and 70-210mm zoom), a Pracktica BC1 (50mm and macro extension tubes) and a Canon EOS 1000F (with kit lens). As can be seen from the camera selection I deal mainly in 35mm film, not due to nostalgia but because it is the only way for me.
