I am a first grade teacher (1997-2006) turned stay-at -home mom (2006-present) with two of the sweetest and cutest kids you will ever meet (yes, I am biased =)...my son was born in 2006 and daughter was born in 2009 and I LOVE photography because of them! =)

I have had several digital cameras in my life and was fine with those until we had kids...and wanted to take pictures of them 24/7...and then realized that the digital camera was NOT going to keep up with our little boy who is still ALWAYS on the GO! We were always missing those important moments. =( So we decided to use that stimulus money we got a few years ago and I got my DSLR camera! I knew I would never miss another moment!

However, it wasn't until recently that I started really learning to use it. I was STUCK on AUTO and couldn't make myself turn the dial to MANUAL. I think I was totally intimidated. =/ (Still am sometimes.) Then I became a part of a group on Flikr with the BEST teacher (thanks, pink.goldfish =) who taught me SO much about photography and I have been addicted ever since! I now keep my camera on manual and even switched it to RAW a few months ago. I still feel like I don't know what I am doing most of the time but I have great people (margrett:), pink.goldfish and others =) I can go to when I feel totally clueless...which is a lot! =O Ha.

I am SO excited about Flikr and have REALLY loved looking at all of your pics. This is an exciting place and I am learning so much from this site! I see really AMAZING pictures on here everyday! Thanks so much to those of you that look at my pics and leave comments! I appreciate it more than you know! =)

And I hope this doesn't sound rude or terrible but if you don't have a profile picture (buddy icon) and/or don't have any photos in your photostream (or your favorites make me a little nervous) and/or your page says that you "don't have anything available to me", I will have to block you. =( Sorry. Thanks for understanding! =)
