Hello!

I have been on flickr for a while now and have been meaning to write about myself. I hope you do too if you haven't as it helps to know the person behind a beautiful picture.

Just to tell you a bit about myself, I am someone in her 40's, married, mother of two, and living in the San Fernando valley of Los Angeles, CA, prior to which I have lived for many years in Chicago, with my childhood and growing up years being spent in Hyderabad, India.

My education has been in Biology, Chemistry and Computers. I have however done very little with my Biology and Chemistry background. All of my work has been in Computers, and I have held various positions in that field over the years working at various companies.

My number one hobby, growing up, was Painting. I enjoyed both water colors and oils. Later, after moving to the US, I switched to Photography as I did not have the luxury of time to paint! Fortunately, it's been a lot of fun. I also bought my first Canon not too long ago, and have been loving using it!

As for flickr, I have to say that joining here has been a turning point in my life. I really have learned so much from being here and continue to. It's been a journey so far, and it gets exciting every day. Not only that, I have made connections with some great people here as well in addtion to finding recognition for my work (Walmart, Discovery, etc.).

Looking forward to sharing my work with you then and seeing yours as well.
