Jills Silent World's photostream

I have progressively lost my hearing since I was 15, now profoundly deaf and beyond the help of hearing aids. I have no wish to go for implants as I have accepted my deafness and am proud of who I am. I rarely speak now, preferring to converse with deaf friends in sign. I express myself through pictures which I will add slowly. I'm "married" to Jayne, who is also deaf and without speech, and who is a wheelchair user through Spina Bifida. We live in Yorkshire, England. Its perhaps not obvious from my icon, but I'm quite a big girl. I've had to start to lose weight because it's beginning to cause some problems for me as I have a minor mobility handicap anyway.

I no longer work full time but I do do some work with and for other newly deaf people, which I find very rewarding indeed.

Now, a few words to people who want to add me as a contact. I will refuse any invitation where the person has nothing available for me to see. Further, I will BLOCK anyone whose photostream includes two or more pictures of male genitalia. I'm also not interested in men who wear womens underwear for s*xual purposes. If your photostream is mainly of that stuff, then I reserve the right to refuse your invitation, and will probably BLOCK you as well.

Fair enough?

15th April 2010 and again on March 22nd 2011 - a number of people will have found themselves blocked as of today. What part of "if you have nothing available for me to see" do you not understand? Also in a couple of cases "two or more photos of male genitalia" - is that also too complicated for you?
