Profile Overview:

In this photostream, most photos were taken by me, Hunter Desportes, except for the period before 1966 where there are some photos taken by my father, Robert Desportes.Most of these are small format, black and white. (This was back when people took black and white photos to save costs).

As for myself, I've been a kind of obsessive photographer since I got my first camera at age 10 in 1964. I used primarily 35mm film cameras until the early 2000's.

After year 2000, I switched to digital photography, which suited well my habit of taking a lot of pictures. Suddenly the cost per click came way down, and the ease of publishing provided by the web, created a new world for photographers.
