I love music and I love rockshows...

...but at a certain point in my life it wasn't enough for me any longer to just be part of the audience, I wanted to get involved. So I started my own web magazine in 2002 and went to the shows on assignment from then on. Next to doing interviews and reviews I also took pictures of the evenings. After standing in the pit for the first time with a camera I was hooked.

In the last couple of years I have shot hundreds of bands all over Germany, covering small venues up to large festivals, been on tour through Europe and met some great people. My pictures have been published in magazines (Rock Hard Germany) and on various band websites all over the world.

The most important thing for me, though, is the fact that I'm still getting excited when I pick up my camera and step up in front of the stage.

This year I went out of my normal ammo and started with the Project 365, to get something else then musicians in front of my lens and educate me a bit more in other areas of photography. You can find those pictures at 365.rapturedmind.com/ or here at flickr.
