I am a stay at home mum. I gave up work in 2008 and have no regrets!
I have always had a camera and enjoyed taking photographs. I went on a photography course in January 2009 and that fired up a passion for taking pictures. I upgraded my Konica Minolta Dimage Z1 bridge camera to a Sony Alpha 300 DSLR at the end of March 2009 which I upgraded to a Alpha 500 in July 2010. I love fnding new places to take pictures.
Following one of Doug Chinnery's excellent photography courses I discovered the world of macro which means that even on a cold, wet day photos can still be taken.
I joined the Worksop Photographic Society in September 2009 and have met new friends and learnt so much.
The only problem now, is there is so much to learn and so little time!

The Shiba says:
"Crabby Em - Emma is a wonderful photographer and has become a trusted friend through the medium of flickr.
A friend with whom I can discuss my work and get an honest and direct opnion.
I was hoping to meet her before writing this but feel the moment is now right to do so.
Emma has developed her photography over the last few months and inspires us in many ways with her macro and general images both serious and humourous. She leads, we follow.
Like all leaders it doesn't always go to plan. A Great Leader admits errors and seeks advice in order to move forward. Though more than willing to take advice, Emma also has the courage to stick to her guns when she feels it is right to do so. Another trait of a good leader.
Emma is a Great Leader and I am more than happy to follow and learn, and as a result move forward with her in my own development."25th June, 2010

PICSL8 says:
"Emma is barking mad but always posts good images be they 'fun' stuff or more 'traditional & serious'.
Got a great sense of humour and consistently turns out lovely images that often give me that "I wish I'd have done that'" feeling."25th March, 2010
