I would like to clarify that my erotic fine art is not intended to offend and that Mick Collins does not wish to associate in any way with groups or individuals who condone violence or exploitation towards females. My erotic section is either restricted or moderated and is not for those under 18 years or those who for personal or other reasons are offended by images of sexuality.

Honest and educated criticism is extremely welcome as are contacts who are engaging in constructive artwork. I hope you enjoy my galleries. Please feel free to download my work but please do not use them for any commercial purposes.

I would like to make it clear and unambigous that I do not wish to be associated with galleries that operate parasitical policies to young artists - I put them in the same division as those engaged in general lowlife occupations.

    Femininelure says:

"I find Mick's artistic images very inspiring! He depicts the female form with such elegance and sensitivity, that the viewer is instantly drawn in. The way he orchestrates the position of the model around lights and darks never ceases to create a very mysterious, alluring atmosphere that adds to the depth of his presentations tremendously. Mick's art engages eroticism in such tasteful, delicate ways by often including an amazingly moving expression on his models. I find the intensity of his images to be very potent and the sensual art he creates to be most inspiring. I look forward to seeing his work evolve into depicting literary themes, as he is now doing. And I am most thankful to consider him a colleague and fellow artist with whom I am now collaborating."

"Mick is a truly amazing & gifted artist. I've viewed reams of images since being a member of flickr & still to this day I have never seen anything that comes close to his work for style & beauty. His ability to capture women in some of our most vulnerable states while keeping it not only tasteful, but also very artistic & beautiful is something I can respect. I have several portraits done by Mick of myself, & I was VERY honored & proud when he had asked me if he could add one of me to his recently published book titled Whatever Happened To Our Erotic Dreams. It is a brilliant showcase of his work that shows women as the sensual creatures we can be while also maintaining the dignity of the women portrayed. I now have a copy myself & it's brilliant! Mick you are a dear friend, confidant, & an amazing artist. I hope one day we can meet & have the chance to work together. Cheers my friend."

    Foto by Messina says:

"As a first year student of photography attending the San Francisco Academy of Art I am required to study the history of photography and the works of those artists and pioneers who have paved the way for our contemporary influx of talented photographers and the continuing evolution of photography into the digital age. One of the ways I continue to hone my new craft as a photographer and push my creative boundaries is to study the work of others. Flickr offers me one of those avenues to accomplish this odyssey of knowledge. One of the most prolific fine art photographers I have found within the Flickr community is Irish sculptor and fine art photographer, Mick Collins. In studying Mick's work, I am able to have a ringside seat in assessing his creative art form that virtually sculpts his images with the use of well placed lighting and shadows, transition of tone, and an incorporation of texture and color unique to his particular style of photography. Mick is not afraid to take chances, to try new things or to push his creative envelop out beyond the box. During my recent studies of the history of photography I was intrigued to learn how the Dadist had used photomontage as a tool to mirror their political and social narratives and how the Pictorialist had used post-production manipulation to transition a simple picture into a work of art possessing a sense of texture and painterly qualities. These are both techniques that Mick incorporates into his artistic vision. It is within the evolving work of artists such as Mick Collins that I am able to see how the history of photography continues on to write itself."
