Welcome to my photostream!

Thank you for your interest in my work. I greatly appreciate your comments, awards, invites and encouragement.

I was born in Turkey, in a small town called Tuzluca, near Mt. Ararat. At the age of 6, my family moved to Australia, where I spent most of my growing years and beyond. I am now currently living in New York City.

I acquired my first camera at age 17... an Olympus OM10 35mm SLR. I have acquired several Nikon cameras since then, the latest being a Nikon D300s, an amazing camera, which I am greatly enjoying!

I have a passion for visual arts and photography, aside from the many other interests I have, which including, music, history, anthropology, astronomy, geology, poetry, philosophy and the likes...

The Arts and photography have been a major part of my life since I was very young. Artistically, I am greatly influenced by my Turkish heritage and culture and of course by the Australian, Aboriginal and American culture... especially that of New York City, which is where I do the majority of my photography. I feel, I have a unique and broad style of interest, when it comes to photography and art. I don't have any one style... my work is forever developing, evolving and ever changing. I especially love macro, visual experimentation with light, interesting objects and unusual angles. I also very much enjoy portraiture, flowers, nature, landscape and abstact photography.

I love living in New York and I find it to be a very photogenic place. Central Park (what I call "my backyard") is where I regularly like to go for my photography. My most favorite times to go out shooting with my camera is when it's raining. I love NYC in the rain!
