I'm an enthusiastic digital photographer with a broad range of artistic interests. See my other site on Flickr (WaterPlanet linked below) with samples of my ocean-related and space photography. My TerraNova site is for all other classes of digital photographs.
I'm also a busy father, husband, and scientist, which means that the time I can devote to photography and to my wonderful friends on Flickr, is as precious as it is limited. I don't like posting new photos until I've viewed and commented on recent postings from each of my contacts, as well as viewing and commenting in each person's Photostream who was kind enough to comment on my photos. This means that sometimes there's a lengthy pause between postings of mine (though I have a growing queue of images ready to post) and sometimes it takes me a while to get to your photos. I'm very appreciative of each person who views and comments on the images in my photostream, so before I get a chance to view and comment on yours, please accept a great, big Thank You!
I'd also like to say a little about how I go about viewing and contemplating the photos I see posted by others on Flickr. When I'm viewing photos in a Group Pool, I pick what I feel is the most visually appealing image on that page of thumbnails, and comment on what I found most interesting in the photo; then I move on to the next page. It's kind of like a mini photo contest for each page of thumbnails, so when I comment on your photo it means you've won my sincere admiration! When I fave a photo of yours, it means I'd be pleased to hang that photo on a wall in my home.
