I'm a (very) amatuer photographer and I got my first dSLR for Christmas '08 (Nikon D80 with an Nikkor 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 DX AF-S kit lens). I freely admit I have no formal instruction in photography, and I'm learning what I can from books and my own experience. I'm working on getting more lenses for different situations and experimenting with macro photography. Hopefully when it gets a little warmer I will be able to head outside and take some wildlife photos and landscapes.
