I am a videogame designer, critic, and researcher. Professionally I do a few things. I'm a professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology and a partner at a videogame studio, Persuasive Games LLC. I've written a few books on videogames and culture.

I shoot Canon SLRs and Leica rangefinders, more of the latter than the former lately. I'm interested in rethinking classic rangefinder street shooting for an era in which the idea of street candids is more of a modernist fantasy than a reality.

I prefer to display my photography on my own website, which I've connected to my Flickr content via the API. I've written about why.
