I am a widower and now long retired from my occupation as a research chemist. I have only recently returned to a hobby I enjoyed many years ago in the days of film, 35mm cameras, darkrooms, enlarging prints, and so on. I regard myself now as a 'born again' novice, particularly in the use of modern dslr cameras, and I regard flickr to be an excellent centre for improving my photography as I strive to match the quality of the postings.
