Chris is a freelance photojournalist who started his journey into the world of photography at the early age of 14. After being given an old Pentax SLR and a few lenses, he started shooting anything he could find. After graduating high school, Chris got involved with the fire service and spent 20 years in roles from fire fighter to Asst. Chief and EMS Service Chief before retiring. The time Chris spent in the fire service fostered a love for the work, and drove him into photojournalism to help document the efforts of the fire service.

Wanting to stay involved in some small way, Chris starting shooting fire scenes, and shortly that work morphed into a breaking news specialty. Photographing people, events, news, and sports has become a driving force in Chris’ life. Chris currently works as a stringer for the 1st Responder Newspaper, Historic City News, and the St. Augustine Record. He is also a contributing photographer for Demotix.com and WeSay.com.
