  "Matt captures some truly amazing shots of red-tail hawks, gators and wildlife in every day scenes. Oh, and he's an excellent high-speed photographer, too. There doesn't seem to be anything he can't do! Some of my favorites include the little duckling trying to hop up with the Lincoln Memorial in the background, the wine cellar image with the smoking cigar and who could forget the upside-down red-tail hawk capture of an unsuspecting squirrel. Who knew red-tails were so agile? And imagine the agility of Matt to score the shot! I am truly impressed and always left in awe of Matt's work. I am thrilled to have Matt as a flickr contact and friend. His images reveal the dedication and inspiration of a talented photographer and artist."

  "I have been following Matt’s stream since way back when he was known as ‘Gator Man’. Matt is a natural at photography. His wildlife photography is beyond incredible. He has a great love for nature as well as a wonderful knack of being at the right place at the right time (with his camera always at the ready). The result continuously leaves one feeling awed at the magnificence of nature and his ability to truthfully capture it. Matt would tell you that his favourite subject is deer, however the passion in which he approaches every subject leaves you loving them all, whether it is his predatory or ‘seed and nectar loving’ flying friends or his vast array of land creatures. My personal favourites will always be his gator shots with his hawk and deer photos falling in close behind. I encourage you to browse through his photo stream where I guarantee that you will instantly form favourites of your own.
  Matt is also very gifted in the art of after processing, which allows him to explore a creative and truly talented side of his art.   "This friend of mine is just about crazy. and his photos are too. He's the best NGC grade wildlife photographer friend that I have on flickr... His guts and skills with animals and especially so with the alligator leave me speechless more often than not.   "Matt Hansen is an extraordinarily gifted photographer who can take amazing wildlife pictures AND create wonderful composite images.
  
  I was utterly impressed when I first saw his photos – I had never seen those fierce American alligators captured so well, in so many different angles and poses. He was “the” Gator Man. His captures are so expressive and well composed! The focus, lighting and details in his pictures are excellent. Matt was able to capture the beasts right when they were catching their prey and those are very impacting photographs. But I also saw the sweetest, most tender captures of deer, frogs and birds. His deer series is outstanding. I love the natural ones as much as I love the very original, beautifully processed ones.
  
  Mr. Hansen never ceases to amaze me with his talent. He does not limit himself to wildlife photography. He has also created some of the most breathtakingly beautiful composite images I’ve ever seen. He once said: “The beauty of the imagination can be unimaginable!” ~ indeed!
