Most of my flickr images are scans of things I collected over the years.
I lived in the Mission district of San Francisco in the 1980s, within walking distance of many thrift stores. I also went to the flea markets on weekends. These were the golden years of collecting, before eBay changed everything. I have moved twice since then but still have a house full of stuff. Since I am now a "Recovering Collector", I enjoy sharing my weird things with kindred spirits on flickr :)
wackystuff was born in New York and raised in Pennsylvania, the Ozarks of the North East. In 1976, he started a novelty button company and headed out to California, where he designed and produced thousands of original buttons, magnets, stickers, and cards. After living in San Francisco, then rural Southern Oregon, he sold his company (Ephemera) and retired to Victoria BC, with his Canadian wife.
