Photography is one of my hobbies that once should prevent me from spending too much time in front of a computer. Unfortunately, with the advent of digital photography the opposite is true since now photos have to be postprocessed and uploaded to Flickr. Still, photography is one of my favorite recreations that always gives me reason to go biking or hiking to some nice location to take some nice shots.

I started to take photos about 18 years ago. These were the times when I used a SLR camera manufactured by Zeiss that didn't need any batteries and still made great picture. Then I used a SLR camera by Yashica before I entered the era of digital photography with an Olympus C8080 compact camera. However, soon I realized that I missed the benefits of SLR cameras and changed to an Olympus E-300, which I still use today.

Since I am definitely no great artist, I often try to hide this shortcoming using algorithms and modern technics like panoramic photography and high dynamic range imaging. May all "pure" photographers forgive me.

I hope you enjoy some of my pictures. According to H. Newton, the first 10,000 are the worst. Since I have not reached this limit by far, any comments are appreciated.
