Ever since I can remember I have been interested in photography. I remember my parents' Kodak with the flash cubes and my first Kodak with the flash sticks. I loved taking pictures of anything and everything! I remember my dad complaining about the amount of film I would go through on vacations! Thank goodness for the digital age! Now I just have to keep upgrading my external hard drives!

I bought my first DSLR, a Canon XSi, about a year ago and recently added the Canon 7D to my arsenal. I've added some lenses and an external flash also. I don't have any formal training in photography and I am extremely thankful for the information that is readily available out there for inquiring minds such as mine. I have also owned quite a few other cameras in between my teens and now such as a Fuji film zoom lens that I still use on occaision...I love that camera! I also had an HP digital that I absolutely hated and upgraded quickly to a Sony DSC-H2 that I really liked (my step-daughter uses it now) but it just wasn't fast enough for my step-daughters' sports of competive cheerleading and soccer.

I'm quirky, moody, geeky, and I have a goofy sense of humor. I also do some digital scrapbooking and I love Lightroom and Photoshop. At my day job, I'm a cardiac care nurse. My photos are more about me than they are about the people and places I photograph.
