Since we are on the GLOBAL Internet... There are quite a few places similar to Flickr which do not suffer from the repressive laws and religious customs of the United States.
Simply put, use photo sharing sites which are not located within the United States. It's not fair to make the rest of the world be subjected to extra and unneeded repression than what they may already have.

This is one of the better places, unfortunately, they seem to only have Russian language, no English.
This is the real news minus the corporate propaganda. Help spread the truth, please share with everyone.
Take a close look at each site. You may be surprised at what they have. It is suggested to bookmark each one and check them all regularly. It is not in the interest of the corporate controlled media to show this stuff on TV, so they don't.

BOOK: The shock doctrine : the rise of disaster capitalism
AUTHOR: Naomi Klein
SUMMARY: Journalist Klein introduced the term "disaster capitalism." Whether covering Baghdad after the U.S. occupation, Sri Lanka after the tsunami, or New Orleans post-Katrina, she witnessed remarkably similar events: people still reeling were hit again, this time with economic "shock treatment," losing their land and homes to corporate makeovers. This book retells the story of Milton Friedman's free-market economic revolution. In contrast to the myth of this movement's peaceful global victory, Klein shows how it has exploited moments of shock and extreme violence in order to implement its economic policies. At its the core is the use of cataclysmic events to advance radical privatization combined with the privatization of the disaster response itself. Klein argues that by capitalizing on crises, created by nature or war, the disaster capitalism complex now exists as a booming new economy, the violent culmination of a radical economic project that has been incubating for fifty years.

BOOK: Crossing the Rubicon : the decline of the American empire at the end of the age of oil
AUTHOR: Michael C Ruppert
SUMMARY: The attacks of September 11, 2001 were accomplished through an amazing orchestration of logistics and personnel. This book claims to discover and identify key suspects--some in the highest echelons of American government--by showing how they acted in concert to guarantee the desired result. The author offers an interdisciplinary analysis of petroleum, geopolitics, narco-traffic, intelligence and militarism--without which 9/11 cannot be understood: The US manufacturing sector has been mostly replaced by speculation on financial data whose underlying economic reality is a dark secret. America's global dominance depends on a continually turning mill of guns, drugs, oil and money. Oil and natural gas--the fuels that make economic growth possible--are subsidized by American military force and foreign lending. In reality, 9/11 and the resulting "War on Terror" are parts of a massive authoritarian response to an emerging economic crisis of unprecedented scale. Peak Oil--the beginning of the end for our industrial civilization--is driving the elites of American power to implement unthinkably draconian measures of repression, warfare and population control.

BOOK: Dark alliance : the CIA, the Contras, and the crack cocaine explosion
AUTHOR: Gary Webb
SUMMARY: Webb has assembled not shadowy sources leaking dark innuendos but a thorough reporting of facts taken from congressional testimony, court testimony, declassified documents and personal interviews. It's clear, at a minimum, that the US government was connected to the people responsible for a large piece of the cocaine trade.

BOOK: Whiteout : the CIA, drugs, and the press
AUTHOR: Alexander Cockburn; Jeffrey St Clair
SUMMARY: In 1996, Gary Webb, a young reporter on a California newspaper charged that the CIA had conspired in the smuggling of cocaine into the U.S. and its subsequent dissemination into black urban neighborhoods. In an exciting narrative, WHITE-OUT surveys the resulting furor and lays out in explosive detail one of the most shocking hidden histories of our time.

BOOK: The politics of heroin : CIA complicity in the global drug trade, Afghanistan, Southeast Asia, Central America, Colombia
AUTHOR: Alfred W McCoy
SUMMARY: By all accounts, this is the standard reference on the explosive topic of drugs and politics. The volume is lengthy, the style impersonal, the language carefully measured, the conclusions temperate in the extreme. All in all, qualities befitting a scholarly navigation through minefields that customarily produce heavy-handed hyperbole.
