I love venturing outside my home--travelling. I enjoy the outdoors! Seascapes, mountainscapes, cityscapes, landscapes…any escape excites me.

I love photography-- it excites me as an artistic, technical, emotional art form.

But it is the blend of these two loves that has become my passion. Neither is more important than the other…just a symbiotic relationship that keeps me searching for photographic art through adventure!

I am a fine art photographer. I start my art with my beloved Nikon D700 and Nikon’s excellent lenses. I study light. I study composition. And I see the world in big bold colours. I don’t pretend that my images represent the world as it is, but rather that they portray the world as I see it. Occasionally a scene can be captured in a single shot..SOOC. Most of the time I use ND, polarizing, and warming filters, or digital darkroom tools such as Exposure Fusion, HDR, blending, Photoshop, Lightroom and plug-ins.

Flickr is an amazing community. I have met some wonderful people who have become dear friends. Having spent two years as a Flickr member, I have learned to use the community as a place to increase my knowledge of photography and to learn about other wonderful photographic locations, both locally and worldwide. I appreciate that so many people have taken the time to view and comment on my photos. If you genuinely like my photography and take the time to comment, I will also spend time viewing your images.
