Hi,

and thanks for stopping to look at my Photo stream.
I'm Derek and live in East Anglia in the UK.
I had my first camera when i was 10 years old, I was immediately fascinated and over the years I have become increasingly interested in photography and digital has given it a great boost and freedom.

I am eclectic in my subject matter. Most of what I take is impromptu, coming from my love to travel, from great adventures, capturing the detail, diving the depths, climbing the heights- mostly I want to capture the beauty in our world. I am learning that more consideration and patience is needed to preserve and improving the subject. My garden has become a great subject for me--living and loving it day by day--you see so much.
Flickr has been a fantastic medium, finding new friends and suggesting many more ideas for subjects and techniques.
