Hi,
Thanks for your visit to my photostream.
I uploaded my first photographs to flickr on 4th May 2009,it was to be a place to store family and holiday memories to share with family and friends.
It did not take long however before something began to happen.I looked at local flickr groups,like the Cleveland Camera Club and Peoples Republic of Teeside and saw some fantastic images.I wanted to have a go at this.A hobby was born.
I shoot with a Canon SX10is bridge camera and a Canon 350d dslr and aspire to save and buy myself a prosumer camera with better optics.I love landscape photography with a passion and love chasing the early and late light,but not totally,I will photograph whatever grabs my attention.
Outside of photography I am a 44 year old single parent of a 16yr old boy and a 11yr old girl,and they keep me very busy.I have worked in the telecoms game most of my working life
and have worked in Botswana and St Lucia before settling back down in the UK.More recently I have had to put being a parent before anything else,so I am currently exploring ideas about how best to make a different living.

I've met and made friends with some great people - on line and in person through flickr,who have helped and inspired me.Long may that continue.Although I still count myself as a beginner I have made some good steps forward with the basics.I was surprised and very pleased when Getty Images asked me to be a contributer,and it has been a spur to push on and carry on with the learning process.

It is with regret that I cannot follow back,every person who kindly follows me.I simply do not have the time, and to be honest I struggle to keep up with the contacts I already have.I will follow back people who take the kinds of photos that give me a buzz and the ones I have become friends with in groups.

Please have a look through my photostream,I would appreciate any constructive criticism to help me improve my photography - a pat on the back or a kick up the bum especially if delivered with humour.

I'm not a big fan of big graphic awards or invitations,however well meaning,they tend to hide the more useful critique.
