I have been an avid photographer as far as I can remember. I love taking pictures of family and friends, but more recently have ventured more into macro and landscape shots.

Since the emergence of digital cameras, I have become more of a shutterbug. I started off using an HP Photoshot - 2 megapixel digital camera. I then upgraded to a Canon S45 - 4 megapixel digital - which stated off my love affair with Canon's camera line-up. That camera took great shots (awesome color and great contrast) but after dropping it a couple of times...decided it did not want to take any more abuse so it died on me. A year ago I bought another Canon to replace that one, the SD700is this time. I am still using that one now and I love the image stabilization feature of the camera.

In December 2006, I purchased my first DSLR - the Canon 20D. This camera has strengtened my passion for taking photographs. I really wish I had more time in the day to take more pictures. I am learning to use this camera day by day. I have not taken any professional lessons yet, but plan on doing so in the near future.

Flickr is such a great place to share my pictures with people from different parts of the globe. I hope that you enjoy looking at my pictures as much as I love taking them!
