2011

Time really flies and now I'm an NSmen serving my country. It have been 2-3 years since I started going into photography and seems like it have been a long long way. Been serving for at least 9-10 months and I have totally no time for photography until now, after I am posted to better vocation that allows me to have more civilian time.

It seems like things have changed, more features in flickr and some of the contacts I have known might already disappeared and there are a lot more photographers out there now since cameras are getting cheaper.

For the past 2 years other than my old trusty Nikon D80, I've gotten an Olympus EP-2 as my compact M43 for small events and my very new Canon 5d Mark II as my main camera. I have been experimenting with my Canon 5D MII and have yet to finish exploring all its features and capabilities.

2-3 years into photography but I realized that there are still many aspects of it to master. Previously while I was younger, I wasn't so much into the technical aspect of photography, I just took my camera and my tripod and just shoot away. I do understand the higher ISO you set, the more noise there is but that's all. With some luck and patience I do get nice photos now and then but I realized that's not enough nowadays.

Currently, I'm reading more into the technical aspects such as the composition, aperture, shutter speed and one huge concentration into lighting, which I believe is at the top of the list.

So I'll be juggling many things at one time right now but I believe proper planning will make me go through all this smoothly.

I hope I can make more contacts this year and learn from the better ones, and learn from my mistakes.

See ya! :)

2009

Basically, I am just another person that loves photography as a hobby, amongst the hundreds of millions of people out there. Of the hundreds of thousands or even limitless photographic objects, I'd say I love architecture, skyscrapers and skylines the most, particularly Singaporean ones.

Singapore, as one of the smallest country in the world is in fact, one of the largest in its achievements. A skyline that is way spectacular and beautiful than its nearest neighbors. Architecture in Singapore is like wildfire, you see them everywhere. This made architecture such a superb photographic opportunity. Indeed, every step in Singapore opens up a new photographic opportunity.

Though I am a Flickr Pro member for at least half a year already, I find that my photostream is corrupted with very unprofessional and casual shots. As at Feb 12 2008, I'll only post Flickrable(learnt from l i j) pictures, which means, presentable and a little more professional ones.

Going into more personal descriptions, I'm currently a Singapore Polytechnic student being enrolled in the Diploma for Business Administration course. Until now, I don't know if Polytechnic is really fun and as what others had said, slackable.

For now, let's just enjoy the world of flickr! Do add me as a contact as I would love to check out photos taken by more professional photographers out there!
