I am writing a book about the barn quilts (or quilt barns, if you prefer) that have spread across the country. My coauthor is Donna Sue Groves, who created the first quilt trail in Ohio in 2001.

The book is to be published by Ohio University Press next year.

I have dozens of photos, but because this is a grassroots art movement, I am trying to use others' photos when I can. If you have photos that you would like to have considered for publication (with credit, of course) please drop me a line

As I travel, I will share a lot of photos--barns that I visited that won't be in the book. I have a couple hundred photos and don't want to hog the group, so maybe I will add a bunch more to my photostream and you can see them there.

Thanks and happy barn quilt hunting!
