  "I have known Phil for about 5 years now and during that time I have seen a steady increase in the quality of his photography. I remember when he first got into night photography a couple of years back, it really inspired me, it's so exciting, you never really know what will happen with a night shot as they necesitate long exposures and being outside are inherantly unpredictable. I love his night shots, they are really worth a look. Another aspect I admire very much are his portraits and this is an area that has benefitted enormously from his stay in China.
