Comments
Of course I'm happy about every single comment, but I'm even happier, if the comments contain a bit more than just a short "nice picture". I try to leave constructive critic whenever I have the time, but I must admit that I'm often so bussy that I can't leave more than only short comments.

Favs
In general I'm adding pictures to my favourites, if I think they are somehow outstanding and special. I don't expect to get any favs back and this implies that I won't fav anybodies pictures just because I got a fav from him/her.
Also I try to keep the number of favs low so from time to time I might sort them out and remove some pictures from my favourite list.

Invitations
I'm happy about invitations, but I won't follow any "post X and comment Y" rules. I leave comments or even a fav if a picture deserves it in my opinion - and for no other reasons.

Contacts:
I'm happy about new contacts but I expect a certain quality of their photo stream and regular updates before I add them to my contact list.
I also expect some activity from my contacts, so from time to time I remove those, who haven't shown any activity (like uploads to their photo stream) for a longer time..

About Explore:
It seems that meanwhile you can only get your pictures into explore if you have enough buddies to enter comments on your pictures - independent from the quality of the pictures. If you look today into explore you will recognize that you have to be in certain groups and have the right buddies in your list to get your pictures into explore.
I must admit that at the beginning I tried to do this gambling as well as I thought that (at least some of) my pictures deserved a place in explore. But at some point I found all of this ridiculous. Of course I'm happy if one of my pics makes it into explore, but only if this is because of the quality of the picture and because many people really like it and not because I joined the right groups and have the right persons in my buddy list...
