I am a retired Biologist and High School Teacher living in Summerville, South Carolina (near Charleston). I have always enjoyed the outdoor life and am enjoying the freedom I now have. Most of These photographs were taken in my backyard. I live on a 10 acre lake just off of the Ashley River. I seem to get the overflow from the numerous historic plantations on the river. Lots of herons, egrets, waterfowl, eagles and osprey. I'm really enjoying retirement. By the way..most of my photographs are geo-tagged ..so click on "map" and see what great wildlife habitat we have here in the "Lowcountry" of South Carolina, USA.
