Originally my equipment was a 35mm manual film Pentax K100 camera which I used for many years, taking my photos, developing and processing them in a darkroom. Resisted and resisted the digital world. A couple of years ago I broke down and bought a digital Nikon D-80 camera along with Adobe Photoshop. I am loving it more than I ever thought I would. My new darkroom is my computer and I use it in ways similar to the way I used the old one, but without the glow of the orange safe light, the chemical smells and with much quicker trial and error. I love using the photograph as my canvas to create a whimsical, vintage or painterly feel with the use of textures.

I just completed a project called "My Daily Click" in which I took a picture and processed it every day . . . for 365 days straight and posted it to my Flickr photostream. It was a wonderful experience that really allowed me to hone in on my new digital skills.

I've been so inspired by the creativity and beautiful work of my Flickr friends ~ love seeing the world through your eyes.

Thanks for stopping by . . .
