I love to bake and while at home with a new baby watching Martha Stewart decorate cookies - I thought, "I bet I could do that!" It started with an attempt at jack-o-lantern cookies for my daughter's Halloween party and has snowballed ever since. So now, armed with my trusty cobalt blue Kitchen Aid mixer and my German grandmother's maple rolling pin and a wild imagination, I'm eager to tackle any crazy theme that presents itself!

This is my crazy hobby and it is always fun to see someone's reaction when I surprise them with plate of cookies I made with them in mind. My husband says I need to find a more permanent way of expressing myself!!!

My adventures in cookie baking have gotten pretty exciting over the last couple of years. Trains, Planes and Automobiles comes to mind......bringing wet cookies in a stack of pizza boxes on a TRAIN into New York City while trying to outrun a blizzard; handcarrying 150 decorated cookies on a PLANE (freaking out anytime anyone opened the overhead bin door) for my friends garden party in North Carolina; driving in a CAR up Park Avenue in Manhatten to deliver cookies to a famous household in NYC - the door man took them, so I didn't get to meet the host and hostess of the party. My cookies have been on Good Morning America and are now in the new book 1,000 Ideas for Decorating Cupcakes, Cookies and Cakes!! Most receently I made cookies for up and coming singing star Greyson Chance who showed them on a Nightline interview!!! Who would have thought cookie decorating could be so exciting????

Thank you for all your kind words and encouragement. I thought I was the only nut out there that would spend so much time decorating cookies!!! I'm so glad to meet all of you!!!!!!! I cannot believe how many friends I have made on Flickr. I made life long friends at the first ever Cookie Camp in Seviereville, TN this year and am proud to be part of the organizing committee for next years camp!!!
