I'm a 35 year old Norwegian who likes strong, dark coffee and lazy mornings. I like films, music and soccer too, and I'm usually pretty laidback about things, unless I'm in a hurry or my favourite soccer team looses a match.

Sometimes I take photos too, and although I'm currently at the "what does the "f" mean?" level of photography, I hope to improve, so that I too one day can take well-exposured close-up shots of coloured glass. Plus portraits without nose shadow, and in-focus shots in general...

Even though still lifes and macro photography isn't excactly what I had in mind when I bought my beloved new (yet already old) digital camera, I've realized that these types of photos might prove to be a perfect school for learning the art of photography. When I finally get to know the difference between mysterious terms like "shutter speed", "aperture" and "iso", I'll hopefully be ready to venture out into the world and take photos of people -which is what I find the most interesting, after all.

Like most people I prefer those photos that tell a story, yet atmosphere is vitally important in a good shot too. Because of too many late nights watching film noir I do have a severe weakness for black and whites with a high contrast level, and this -combined with a general nostalgic and melancholic disposition, makes me prefer moody black and whites before the more upbeat colour ones. Yet I don't have anything personal against colour, or those who knows how to handle it. Honestly.
