Hell's Avenue is a indie rock band from Costa Rica created in 2008 by the young Marv Castillo. The band is, Marv Castillo, J.P Solano, Simón Solano and Andy Portilla, the band had some other members that were expelled, like Rogel Fernández, ChiSeng and ChiHan Chan, Fernando Arias and Dan Castellano because of personal problems and troubles with other members.

The band started in November 24th, 2008 with no music, lyrics or band’s pictures, only a concept. All these ideas catched people’s attention because of the mystery and in only days since the band’s formation the band got popular in many sites, the worldwide popular site Taringa! featured Hell’s Avenue as #1 more expected new metal band of 2009. When things like this happened the band got thousand of hits in their pages and got even more popular, the band got interviews, posts in many sites and fans that share Hell’s Avenue with the world.

In 2010 the band got famous and expected by rockers and metalheads, Marv Castillo confirmed ‘Walking In Hell’, the first band’s record, after this statement the band got over 2,000,000 wallpaper downloads in many sites and got 10,000 friend requests on MySpace. The band had many troubles to release their first songs online, because of Dan Castellano and his complaints about J.P, after that Marv kicked him out. And ‘Walking In Hell’ had an hiatus, Hell's Avenue almost had their doom.

In that hiatus, Marv joins rock band Complemento and wrote a demo, also created with collaboration of Jeff Fernández the Metal Knights Fest a place for unsigned metal bands to show themselves. Also wrote 20 songs for Hell's Avenue, and then the band returned.

After that, Marv announces the Hell’s Avenue division: The Original Avenues, which is Hell’s Avenue, but with his original and most important members, then Marv confirms band’s work before their ‘Walking In Hell’ record, ‘Beast’.

The band had many changes after its creation, in its genres, mainly. First started as thrash metal band and now the band is a rock band. The band still very popular, is one of the Costa Rica’s most famous bands and a very expected band, worldwide. Marv Castillo & J.P Solano also have a DJ project, making a different kind of music, this project will be released this September.
