In 1973, 16 women came together to form Pi Kappa Zeta. Under the direction of various presidents, the club flourished until 1987 when the club was faced with only four non-graduating members.

Fifteen years later, 13 girls came together to form a social club that met the needs of girls who did not fit into the places that were open for women on campus. It was suggested that a folded club be re-opened instead of forming a new club, and so Katie Black, re-charter president, began the search for a club. After much thought and debate, she and the other 12 women came upon one that caught their attention.

This club, above all others, held the views and beliefs that were central to the needs and wants of the women. It was then that Pi Kappa Zeta was re-chartered.

We are a student organization at Ouachita Baptist University.
