I'm a "poor college student" trying to discover myself. I have played the bagpipes for 10 years, and am need of a little break from that. In the past year, I've really discovered a love for photography. That love has taken me from using a point-and-shoot Kodak to my current equipment...

I currently shoot with a Nikon D60 (the crazy, tricked-out "Gold" edition), using Nikkor AF-S 18-55 mm 1:3.5-5.6G VR and AF-S 55-200 mm 1:4-5.6G ED lenses, a Nikon SB-600 Speedlight, and editing with Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 (when using my PC) and Photoshop Elements 6.0 (when using my Mac).

I am currently working on my "365 Days" Project. For this, I am taking a self-portrait ever day for (you guessed it) 365 days. Also, this semester (Fall 2009) I am taking Digital Photography 1 at Cape Fear Community College. My photos for that class will be posted on this flickr account under the "ART-264-D1" album. I hope that by the end of both the 365 Project and Digital Photography 1 I will be able to take better photos, edit them more easily, be able to articulately comment on others' photos, and generally have a more expanded knowledge of photography.
