C'mon!!! *Lynne? She whom I've exchanged many a professional (and personal) emails with, as well as traded countless photography and Photoshop tips with?
  
  So here goes: flickr is a cruel, ruthless, insensitive universe that draws the unknowing with promises of "contacts" and "comments" to better improve their photography with. But once in, "pity the fool" (to quote Mr. T) who expects to keep the folks in his/her contact list and to keep seeing their comments in every upload. Just never happens. Nope. Not in this cruel, ruthless, insensitive universe. Except when you find *true* contacts like *Lynne (and a few others I can count on the fingers of both hands) who visit your stream regularly (except when inundated with office workload or jousting with AZholes...hehe!).
  
  The upside to having regular contacts is that you keep track of their evolution as photographers and artists, too, and use this to mirror your very own progress. I've seen *Lynne's work metamorph over the months that I've known her. And there were (are) many a times when I wonder just where she draws the energy to shoot, dabble in Photoshop and still battle the slings and arrow of mundane work (hah!).
  
  I'm blessed to have *Lynne as a contact and as a friend and confidante!
