Hello! I will be 3 years in this hobby this month of December and I am still immensely enjoying it. I do not take as many pictuers as I used to in the early days, but I make sure that I click a few shots every week to stimulate the creativity in me.

Having lived a 12-14 hr a day corporate life for more than 25 years, my life then was hectic, rushed, pressure-filled or in other words extremely toxic.

I vaguely remember how my children were when they were 10 years old. I remember only appreciating a sunset during my honeymoon. Flowers to me then were a mere decoration to an occasion. Never appreciated it as part of wonderful mother nature that God has given us.

Photography has slowed me down and made me appreciative of the beautiful things around me. It has helped me become more positive and instinctively I now tend to look for that hidden beauty, even if it were just a simple curve, or a repetitive pattern, or an uncommon cloud formation or a simple sparrow perched in my backyard. Getting into this hobby is one sound decision I have made in my life.!

Another great experience is having friends who share the same passion. From them , I am inspired, from them I get to learn.

I used to indulge myself in landscape and macro photography. Specifically for landscape, I have a serious preference for IR takes as they provide a different way of looking at a particular scene.

I have recently ventured into portraiture through the help and encouragement of a friend Mitch Bautista. I gained so much valuable learning from hanging out with him, something that an ordinary workshop would not have given me.

I used to be based in Jakarta, Indonesia and this explains why I can dabble a bit in bahasa. I am now based in Manila.

"Mario is the one of the best contacts that any flickr user can have. He knows most {if not all} of his flickr-contacts by their real names and not by their nicks. He knows each contact's different techniques and gears. We met and had coffee once and i almost forgot that that was the first time we've personally met. He's so easy to get along that you'll feel you're both operating on the same frequency.

Mario is a self-proclaimed "newbie" in photography but I see a very clear potential that he would easily make it to pro! He has an outstanding eye for seeing something beautiful and the wisdom and talent for taking quality photos. I really enjoy viewing his photo-stream. His photos give the viewers a glimpse on how he uniquely and artistically see the world. I'm always stopping by to see his latest updates!!

Keep on shooting, bro! Always looking forward to your posts.. God bless."
