Road to Zzyzx's photostream

This has been an ongoing project since late 1999 when I became inspired after stumbling across Troy Paiva's "Lost America" Web site. The production has fluctuated and the approach has changed, largely depending on events in my life. I no longer consider myself a night photographer (if you're paying close attention, you'll see the shift in the '04-'05 range), but the roots are unmistakeable and the themes haven't changed. My goal this year is to reformat and expand my Web site, which hasn't been updated since '04. My favorite photographers are Jeff Brouws, Walker Evans, Noel Kerns, Frans Lanting, Richard Misrach, Joan Myers, Troy Paiva, Shannon Richardson, Galen Rowell, Aaron Siladi, Kim Stringfellow and my sister, Susana, the pro in the family.
