By way of brief introduction, I am a semi-retired 65 year old amateur architectural historian, photographer and sketch artist from Greensboro, Georgia. I possess a general fascination with the architectural period termed the "Gilded Age" (from the late 19th and early 20th century).

Having been raised in the Detroit area and being a Midwesterner the majority of my life, I am currently writing a book (along with Roy Madsen, a former Grosse Pointer and now a resident of Greensboro, GA) on the the Indian Village Historic District in Detroit, MI. The focus of the book will be on the exterior architecture of these stately homes, the architect who was commisioned to design it, when the home was constructed and who were the initial residents. My plans are to include original or current photographs of the exterior of the home and a brief thumbnail narrative history on the home.

Against this background, anyone wishing to assist me in this endeavor by providing photographs (e.g., jpeg) or background information on homes located in the Indian Village Historical District, your help would be greatly appreciated.
