My name is David, a 28-year old amateur photographer from Surrey, UK. I graduated with Honours in Environmental Biology and my passions include travelling and nature, as well as photography. My dream would be to one day own my own gallery/shop.

In June 2011 I joined the US-based Fine Art America site.

In March 2011 I joined the UK-based Photo4Me online community.

I've been called a postcard photographer and I'm quite happy with that description. I like simple, colourful, emotive images that do nothing but celebrate what was beautiful enough or interesting enough for me to want to take the picture in the first place.
Aside from cropping an image to re-focus the attention, or sampling in black-and-white, I do as little as possible to adjust my images. Some of my older images are digitised versions of original 35mm prints, while all subsequent additions are digital.
While I appreciate the skill of HDR as a digital art-form, I do believe it is different to genuine photography, and is not really for me.
I'll make no denial that I am desperate to have some of my images featured on Explore!
