Proud mom and grandmother, preschool owner/director. I also write and illustrate children's books....hope to even get one published one day! :-) I love creating art, mainly use watercolors but up for anything. I strongly believe in whimsey and it's importance in life!

I also love to quilt, applique is my current favorite method.

I am a personal historian and help elders to write their life stories and research their family lines. My own family line includes: Wallace/Cooper/Hector/Ballard/Sanders/Vick/Leonard/Dyer/Ryan/Brossard/Weeks/Walker

My husbands includes: Adams/Harlin/Coe/Mulkey/Halsell

I currently have a group to collect research on the Ballard family. If you would like some help or advice on researching your own family line just ask!

More about quilting:

I love 1930's reproduction prints. Also like the Civil war repros. Modern fabrics are awesome too. My favorite color combinations are blue/yellow, blue/green, pink/green. I love blue, green, pink, cream color. My two least favorite colors (I always have to make myself buy some for my stash) are purple and orange....but I like them in moderation with other colors. In general I'm not into Autumn type colors at all. More Spring and Summer or even the deep blue and whites of Winter.

I love scrappy looking quilts, modern scrappy is good too.

I have a "thing" for trees and vines and leaves. I put them on almost all my quilts....so much so that I have worn out two sets of leaf templates. :-)

I love little houses, gnomes and mushrooms. Like to make felt creatures.
