I collect bicycles for joy and appreciation. My valued ones are rare, have sentimental value or are New Old Stock.

I also save abandoned/discarded old bikes and give them new life. As I have limited space at home, I sell these bikes after enjoying them for a while to make way for new ones. Who buys them? Mostly appreciative collectors and enthusiasts.

Each bicycle has a history and a story to tell. Each one was hand-built by someone in a bygone era, when life was simpler. An altogether more innocent age. One which I imagine many of us remember, cherish and miss.

Every bike that can be saved and used helps save the environment and serves as a historical memento. Plus, its such a waste to throw away a hand-crafted piece of art only to replace it with a mass manufactured contraption, however light or aerodynamic it may be.

If you want to read a litle more about each bike, feel free to visit my blog at: ketchupsbikes.blogspot.com

I find the pictures - whether on my blog or here on flickr - best savored with an oldie hit playing in the background. Give that a try.

Have a pleasant journey down memory lane.
