I earn my living as a part-time computer programmer. I've dabbled in painting all of my life. I got interested in photography after completing a short course with the Open University, but really my technical knowledge is quite poor.

Right now I am working towards a degree in Creative Arts with the Open College of Arts. My first module was in Printmaking and I passed it by the skin of my teeth - I did enjoy it though. I'm now learning how to draw and working my way through the OCA Drawing Skills course. For the duration of 2012 I hope to upload a sketch a day to my Flickr account in the hope that practice makes better.

I have a student art blog which I use to try and record my learning progress. It's mainly for my OCA tutors and peers but of course it's completely public.

To my amazement I do sometimes sell my paintings and photographs - nice to get a few pennies from something you love doing.

I want to thank all of my Flickr contacts who offer advice, support and friendship. I learn so much from them and I find it a privilege to view their work and see what they are currently working on.

I am married to Ian (Hypocentre) and I live in England.
