I've no aspirations to be a great or even a professional photographer, but I do love to "catalogue" places that I visit.
My love of Britain's regions and travel all began when I was a student at UWE Bristol, and had my first experience of living away from my home town in the Midlands.
The groups I have established demonstrate how I like to "compartmentalise" British boroughs and districts, to try to capture - along with the kind help of those joining and contributing to the groups - the unique characters and vistas enjoyed by these areas.
I'm greatly influenced by travel writers (Simon Armitage, Pete Brown, Bill Bryson, Mark Lawson, Stuart Maconie, Tim Moore, HV Morton, JB Priestley, etc.) and love tracing, visiting and photoraphing places through genealogy research into my family.
