I was born and raised in Bismarck, North Dakota, and have developed a huge passion for the region. My website, www.bismarckpride.com, features an extensive database for the Bismarck-Mandan region that includes history, pictures & videos, blogs, shopping & dining, desktop wallpaper, and even apartment listings. The site's Bismarck Dictionary features an alphabetic listing of people, places, and things related to the region.
Bismarck is the capital of North Dakota, county seat of Burleigh County, and second largest city in the state with a metro population over 100,000. The city was first established in 1872 when the Northern Pacific Railroad approached the eastern banks of the Missouri River.
The vast majority of pictures posted are of Bismarck, North Dakota, however you will find a few from other places as well. Each picture is geotagged and the location clearly stated in the description.
