"This member has a wonderful collection of photos of the London Borough of Brent that in time will become historic archive material for later generations to look back on and see, as we do now with other old photos, see how lifestyles and buildings change, disappear, ruined or made better etc. People and their activities are recorded which again are important to be kept on record. I just hope that there is someway other than using flickr there is for keeping these photographs stored for public use for generations to come.
The digital camera has it's good points but alas not all images are printed and there are no negatives so if the storage item is only a computer they can be lost and the same goes for cds, dvds, and storage sticks or cards. They have to preserved as HARD PRINTED COPIES and in archive storage cabinets. You claim to be pure amateur but you have the skills of a professional. More power to your camera and the finger that presses the button and your eye that sees the image."10th August, 2007
