I live in the town of Ardrossan on the west coast of Scotland, my photography is the thing that keeps me sane, (which could be a cause for worry or possibly not).

I have a Canon 5D. With this I have some nice lenses. Some that make things far away closer, some that make things that are small bigger and some that make things look just as they are .............. Started of with a 300D then a 350D, i think the D may stand for debt. I seem to do a lot of sea/landscapes (the sea is 5 minutes down the road which might explain it, and the land is all around).

I had an exhibition of my photography at the Harbour Arts Centre, Irvine, Scotland which was a worry (strangely enough)
I use photoshop (wee bit.....a lot har har).
Peace
(and other similar type stuff)

I have seen him rising from an ordinary photographer to a highly technical and professional guru.He is very good in portraying the mood of the sky and panoramas.See his stream. It tells the whole story.
He is a friendly guy, really keen in photography and helping those who look up to him for his expertise.Be free he is a really nice guy."22nd September, 2008

Carol Young Photography(offline for a while) says:
"Gordon's photography is always inspirational. He manages to capture the very essence of the Ayrshire coast. I particularly enjoy his vast and beautiful skies! Also was fortunate enough to catch his "My Mind's Eye" exhibition which was outstanding."

Alex Boyd says:
"Gordon Cowan's vast landscapes never fail to impress me..the study of light and cloud is always inspiring and makes me want to try harder to catch the feel and atmosphere of the Ayrshire coast - something always present in his photographs. Seeing his work in exhibition was also a rewarding experience, and I would recommend anyone to catch one of his shows if you can."
