I am an Orthodox Priest who paints Icons. I have a ton of kids.
I was taught initially by the great Paul Azkoul. He taught me a ton of humility by not giving in to my stupidity. He is a wonderful Iconographer and a great man.
I occasionally get to visit with my friend the schema-monk Patrick Doolan and pick at his brain to try to learn something of his genius. (www.gsinai.com) What he has taught me I have yet to use because it is so overwhelmingly beautiful and heavenly that my simple mind cannot formulate it into something I can understand. Occasionally I grasp something of what he showed me and I use it quick so that I don't forget it. If I could only learn to harness what God has given me through him I would be a much better Iconographer.

I thank God everyday for giving me these two people (and of course those around them) for I would not be who I am now if it weren't for God working through them.
