|
Hello, my name is Kevin and Cornish born and breed.
Working in the agricultural business gives me unique access to the countryside, of which I intend to exploit more for my photography.
Please feel free to C&C any of my images and as many note boxes you like! The only way to learn is from your peers.
Bug bear, images that are NOT available 'ALL SIZES' and that is because I get very annoyed that I cant see a good image at a good size (rant over).
I am finding it increasingly difficult to keep up with my comments if people do multiple uploads in a day, please don't be offended if I only comment on one or two, as time is at a premium, thank you for your understanding.
I do not usually leave comments on photos with children in them.

"Kevin is a joy to know and this testimonial for him is long overdue.
Here's a guy that possesses a superb eye for color, composition and detail. Just have a look at his stream and you'll soon see what I mean. He's a brilliant landscape and macro photographer, Kevin sees things for what they are, pure and simple. Unknowingly they become his own but are soon given back, in the form of beautiful art taking us up close to see crisp details of flowers or a spectacular view of his English landscape.
Also have to say he is a gentleman to the core and a good flickr friend and supporter. A fine artist who believes in encouraging and motivating others. His photostream is magnificent and his messages in comments is full of fun. There are few with the level of talent that Kevin has that are still willing to reach down into the basics and hand down some help, especially in easy-to-understand, and friendly terms.
Kevin it's a pleasure to know you here at flickr. and thanks for your continuous support to me."2nd February, 2010

"Kevin writes in his profile that he is "Cornish born and bred". One only needs to wander through his photostream to capture a rare glimpse of this beautiful countryside. From the cliffs to the fields to the sea he takes you by the hand and delivers to you through his photographs a perfect view of his cherished home. Like a poet with pen Kevin takes his camera and beautifully captures moments frozen in time; conveying the beauty in his surroundings for all of us to share.
No spot of earth like thee,
So full of heaven to me,
O hill of rock, piled to the passing cloud!
Good spirits in their flight
Upon thy crags alight,
And leave a glory where they brightly bow'd.
~ J. Harris
From his pastoral landscapes to his macro studies, Kevin shows an amazing range as a photographer. A lesson in light and focus can be learned with each visit. A faithful contact, he is not only funny and bright but offers guidance and support. I consider myself fortunate to have found him as I stumble on this new road of photography and even more fortunate to call him 'friend'."9th September, 2009

"Almost everyday I'm amazed when visiting Kevin's stream! His pictures, in particular his macro shots, are so wonderful. There are not many photographers that can capture fine details and colours with the same perfect focus as he does. Kevin is such a great inspiration and I really do admire his work.
But is not only because of his photographing skills that I'm happy to have met Kevin, he is also a great friend. Funny, sweet and generous with comments and advices! Thank you for everything Kevin! I hope to see much more from you (not least hydrangea shots) and get to know you better... :)"5th August, 2009

"Well, if there was ever a photographer on Flickr that was hugely overlooked it would be Kevin!!
His photography is amazing and always inspiring. Please take the time to look through his stream, I promise you will not be disappointed!!
I love all of his work, from the stunning landscapes to the vibrant flowers to the icky nasty bugs (LOL). Just kidding, I really do like the bug shots.. I'm just jealous that I can't master those captures... maybe it's because Canon's just don't like the creepy crawly. ;0)
Not only is Kevin a creative photographer, he is also a very faithful contact. He always leaves funny, honest comments that make me smile. I am truly grateful for finding you in Flickr-world.
Thanks for being a wonderful friend.
Keep up the amazing work!! :)"12th July, 2009

"Besides the obvious eye for the amazing in his photos, the thing that I most admire about Kevin is his vision for the integrity of his photography. Not only is it a joy to view his photos but to read the descriptions and comments is often a wonderful learning experience as he shares sense of wonder in each photo!!
In his photostream I see his photography as a passion, an extension of who he is and how he views his world, which, takes each photo to a whole new level of meaning. Thank you for keeping it about the vision, my friend!
Bravo, Kevin!!! What a wonderful honor to be Flickr friends!"27th April, 2009

"It's only fitting & right that I pat this talented photographer on the back. He so kindly wrote one for me.
I first discovered Kevin's photostream one day by an amazing shot www.flickr.com/ph.... I was blown away by the depth he had captured in the photo & upon closer look I noticed we shoot with the same brand camera. We Oly people have to stick side-by-side in this world. I'm just joking it wouldn't matter if he used a dime store camera.
Kevin has a never ending stream full of beautiful flowers that are full of quality details & razor sharp. You will most likely not just find a flower, but usually it will be accompanied by a bee, fly or butterfly. I believe he must carry them in his pocket & super glue them on :-)
You will also find an array of lovely photo's of the surrounding Cornish countryside that I find really fascinating. On top of being a talented photographer he has a witty quirky sense of humor that has pulled me out of my flickr funk & made it fun again.
I would like to Thank you for being a wonderful flickr friend"8th March, 2009
