My portraits traverse society’s diverse communities to explore the human condition as expressed through its faces. In order to celebrate an individual, visual intimacy is essential. My portrait style’s imitation of visual intimacy explores cultural narratives of social distance, personal boundaries, intimacy and isolation.
My work is structured to transform the external act of observing, into the internal world of experiencing - creating a dialogue between subject and viewer expanding their understanding of being alive.
