The road that lead me to photography started as a young child. I remember grabbing my dad's Kodak Instamatic 44, complete with disposable flash cubes, and shooting away. Fast forward ten years when my parents finally bought me my first camera, a Minolta X-370. It was with this camera that I learned the basics of photography. As a young adult living in California, I spent many weekends in Yosemite National Park applying my photographic skills.

Although I try not to get all wrapped up about my gear, I'm a Canon guy. I shoot the 5D MkII (40D as a backup) with either the 24-70mm f/2.8L USM or 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM. If I have a gear obsession, it has to do with the strobist movement. I love to add more speedlights and light modifiers to my arsenal!
